I have been either teaching or tutoring math since about 1987. While I enjoy teaching in the classroom, my first love is helping students one-on-one. I like to help figure out where a student's difficulties lie and work with that student until I hear them say, "Hey! I get it!"

I believe that all students can do well in math. It's simply a matter of finding out where the problems are and getting over them. I am trained in using manipulatives (hands on materials), graphing calculators and other technology, as well as traditional teaching methods, thus giving me a wide array of strategies to use to help an individual student overcome his or her difficulties in math.
